TSS will be staffed by volunteers from within the Tamil community.

Ability to speak Tamil is desired but not a pre-requisite.

Volunteers are currently sought to perform a variety of tasks such as Peer Care ​Companions for visitors of the Safe Space, as well as roles in the working group, ​administration, and advisory panels.

About Peer CARE Companions:

Peer CARE Companions are volunteers with a lived experience of suicidal crisis ​who provide peer-led suicide prevention support

Peer CARE Companions receive specialised peer training, suicide intervention ​skills training, group co-reflection, and access to a Community of Practice.

Peer CARE Companions will undertake training and

mentoring through the RITO Peer CARE Companion training program.
